AboutThe Starsky_and_Hutch_911 Community is for the any type posting of Starsky and Hutch fan created material (writing, in any venue, transcribed archival material, such as scripts) to include challenges in Starsky & Hutch fiction, from 50 words to an unlimited amount of words (drabbles, snippets, series, pre or sequels, run offs or other fiction that does not fit other communities). The SH911 Community is also for any type posting of S&H fanart and fan vidding.
This community was inspired by S&H challenge writers and story writers that may need a location for stories or art that are not as restricted to size, format or amount of posts. This community’s primary directive is to enhance and develop an author’s or artist's style and provide comrades in arms. Newbies to fanfic writing or art and vidding are happily welcome!
There will be specific prompts and Ollies (German: Alle, alle auch sind frei, that can be about any topic).
We plan to keep guidelines generously serene and unchanging. {We reserve the right to contact author for changes or deletion of posts only if it is found offensive to other’s work, or does not meet guidelines, but we will ask first}.
Guidelines:
1. UNDER THE CUT--Since fiction here can be lengthy, all posts must be under an LJ Cut. See LJ help for assistance if needed, or ask moderators.
2. WORDS--We accept all lengths of S&H fiction, from 50 words to the power of Pi (this equals unlimited). It can be a new post, repost, part or all of an older story you’d like to rework or have resurface. You can link to your journal if you post the work here also. You can write as a singular author, or multi-author collaborations.
3. GENRE--We accept Starsky & Hutch fandom, and cross-fandom that includes S&H. Gen, Het, Slash, Meta, Crack, songfic and more are welcome. We encourage S&H fanfic to develop new ranges and styles.
4. MULTIMEDIA--We accept pictures posted in story, as long as they are kept smaller in size than the space the words are using. We accept original pics, collages, screen caps, cartoons or any S&H related art that pertains to the story or independently. We accept an original video art that adds to the story or independently.
5. NEW CHALLENGES--Challenges will be posted periodically (no specific time constraints for moderators or authors). All previous challenges remain open for new interpretations. Please identify Challenge by number or name in your title. You may post multiple stories per challenge.
6. OLLIES--Ollies are free-range, any S&H fiction topic. Ollies remain unlimited in times of use, to accommodate having an area to post unrestricted.
7. TAGS--Please tag your stories and artwork like any other community. Ask for an author tag when new.
8. TRANSCRIPTED MATERIALS-- For the purpose of archiving rare materials such as magazine articles, scripts from the show, or fan club newsletters and articles that were created years ago, we accept such materials in part or totality, for the purpose of sharing with other fans materials that may not be readily available or uncommon in nature, that may enhance or help produce future S&H works. If such works are copyrighted, they are to be posted in quotation and their source must be identified. Such transcriptions are presented for educational purposes and no infringement of original copyright is intended.
9. COMMENTING: Comments are moderated and accepted with membership. Our site prescribes to the philosophy of "Thumperism," in reference to the character "Thumper" in the movie Bambi, wherein the character is encouraged gently that "if you can't say anything nice, (or constructive) do not say anything at all." In the case that a creation causes a concern, the right to discuss, suggest or comment is also commendable, but not in this forum. We suggest this contact to be made by private mail, to the author or moderators, which is available on LJ or off site. Our site is primarily an archive of material presented as the author intends.
10. EXCEPTIONS: Alternatives to the above to fit writer’s needs are open to suggestion. We want to create a community where all S&H writing styles have a soft place to fall. Please contact moderators with new ideas.
